Organizational Problem in Rainbow Colored Clothing
Question: Discuss about theOrganizational Problem in Rainbow Colored Clothing. Answer: Introduction Rainbow colored clothing need to act upon factors causing declination of diversity in a work place for improvement profitability and whole organization at large. Solutions to the cause of declination in diversity of Rainbow colored clothing can be developed and if well implemented there will be a better future for the organization(Maheshwari, 2007). The importance of addressing problems in an organization is critical to the growth and profitability of the business. Identification of Possible Solutions Diversity refers to inclusion of people from different ethnic groups in organization. That is both culture and races(Julie Olson-Buchanan, 2013). It should be a policy and responsibility of the management to deal with harassment and discrimination against any individual employed in Rainbow colored clothing. Opposition in work place: opposition develops in work place when there is poor decision making leading to biased proposals. Leading and directing functions of management should be used in solving this of problem. It entails motivation, supervision, communication and leadership(Fiona, Martin , Jon , 2004). First, there should free act of communication among all employees in an organization. Everybody should express his or her views about various issues affecting working environment. If everyones opinions about a certain issue is considered there might be fair decision making hence no opposition since the decision is unanimous. Use of incentives such as bonus and rewarding hard working employees gives workers morale. Use of motivational talks to inspire and encourage sub-ordinates helps them develop spirit of hard work(Zgheib, 20114). This way people will enjoy and love their work more hence no rebellious actions among them. Leaders should liaise with employees positively. Being arroga nt and show of mighty by leaders makes employees develop negative attitude. People oppose decisions made by such leaders. Supervising worker makes the employer realize the mistakes of the workers and correcting them in the right manner.(Roberson, 2013) Explaining to workers the importance of correcting their mistakes makes them develop same ideology as the employer. Lack of managing diversity: managing diversity means acknowledging that people have differences and treating these differences as valuable. This enhances inclusiveness and prevents discrimination(Schmitt, 2012). In planning which is a function of management, the planning team should come up with diverse ways of treating and dealing with employees. It is not only the human resource that requires diverse ways of treatment but every task faced in working environment. A decision made to tackle a certain problem is not applicable to all the problems that are encountered the organization. Wide mind is required in managers to develop variety of solutions to deal with various situations. For this problem, planning function is greatly recommended. New implementation policies: organizing must considered while formulating and implementing policies. Planning refers to putting together resources and mounting a relationship among them to achieve the objectives of the organization(Koontz, 2004). New policies should be implemented to increase profitability of the business. The role if identification of activities is important as policies should be applied in line with the activities it matches with. Not every policy is going to work for all departments(Roberson, 2013). There should be a good plan who is to implement policies how where and when. Coordination of authority and responsibility relationships leaves everyone with the knowledge of who is to make policies and who should implement them. Environment Factors that May Affect the Underlying Cause Environmental factors that affect management functions are main solutions to declination in diversity of a work place. Employee productivity is affected by work environment created for them(Julie Olson-Buchanan, 2013). Performance varies with the quality of working environment. Workplace, tools of the job and work relationship is key part of the job itself. Factors such as lack of protection equipment, poor lighting, inappropriate workstations, poor ventilation, unsuitable furniture and excessive noise among others are unhealthy and unsafe to workers(Fiona, Martin , Jon , 2004). Thus appealing work environment is subject to high productivity. Worker must understand difference between work and family. Having family issue in the workplace may deteriorate productivity. Employers always should give employees humble time to sort family problems so that they do not affect them in the work place. Put investments in environmental facts automatically shoot high the productivity. Most Appropriate Solution It is healthy for any kind business to adopt the functions of management. Adopting the functions of management, i.e. planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling can effectively assisting in solving the identified diversity issues(Roberson, 2013). It is critical for the managers to make sure that they promote diversity in Rainbow colored clothing. In clothing business new designs are trending daily and therefore people of different ideas should be employed. Fashion needs creativity and borrowing from different traditions and cultures. Good management with diverse minds key to the success of Rainbow colored clothing. Implementing this report means recommendation growth and as brighter future for the company. References: Fiona J.
